The new 2025 GMC Terrain delivers more space, more tech, and more safety features wrapped in a truck-like design, giving this small SUV the upgrades you need.

The first two-tone roof option will also be available. The Terrain Elevation trim is expected to launch this year, and the new AT4 and Denali trims will follow in 2025. The next generation of GMC Terrain is all new with a fresh design.

Elevation Trim Launches First

The Elevation trim takes center stage for the 2025 GMC Terrain with more standard technology features. The Terrain is a compact SUV, but it now features a bold new truck-inspired design with two rows of seats. GMC has refreshed its entire lineup with new models set to come out by the end of the year. All new GMC SUVs will offer cutting-edge technology, a refreshed design, and an inspired driving experience.

New Standard Equipment

All Terrain models will feature more standard equipment than before. Over 15 safety and driver assistance features are standard on every model, plus the comfort and convenience of heated seats and a heated steering wheel. The standard safety suite for 2025 includes Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, and more.

Tech Upgrades For the Terrain

The next generation of GMC Terrain is packed with new standard tech across the lineup, including a 15-inch infotainment screen and an 11-inch driver information center screen. The Terrain’s infotainment system includes convenient features like Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the ability to add other apps like Spotify. Also new for 2025 is a camera system with eight available views. Some optional tech features include rain-sensing wipers, an automatic power liftgate, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and an HD Surround Vision camera.

Fresh Rugged Design

The first thing that stands out about the new GMC Terrain is its fresh design with a rugged feel. It now shares design cues with GMC’s large SUV and truck lineup, setting it apart from the rest of the compact SUV crowd. The new grille design connects the headlights to fog lights on the lower level for a distinctive front-end look. A new two-tone roof option in black or gray will also be offered. Inside, the new Terrain feels more spacious with sweeping lines and is accented with chrome decoration.

Upcoming AT4 and Denali Trims

In 2025, GMC will launch the AT4 and Denali trims for the 2025 model year. The AT4 will come standard with a lifted ride, underbody protection, an AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode, and 17-inch all-terrain tires. The Denali raises the bar even further with 19-inch wheels, animated lights, and outboard front and rear heated seats.

Standard Power and Performance

All 2025 GMC Terrain models come standard with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that makes 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. This allows the Terrain to tow up to 1,500 pounds when properly equipped. The Elevation trim will come standard with AWD and an 8-speed automatic transmission when it launches this year.
