Whether you’ve got a full or empty nest, there’s a Chevrolet SUV that’s a perfect fit for your lifestyle. To help you choose your next SUV, we’ll compare the full lineup, from cargo space to gas mileage. Which one will you drive home?

Small and Sporty

Chevrolet SUVs come in a variety of sizes, but even these smaller models offer incredible versatility and capability.

Trax is little but mighty. This crossover’s flexible interior seats five with 18.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Powered by a 1.4L turbocharged 138-horsepower engine, the Trax achieves up to 28 combined MPG (note: all mileage estimates are combined).

Equinox is technically a smaller SUV but it’s incredibly versatile. It easily fits three kids in the back, from infants to teens, and holds nearly 30 cubic feet of cargo. A turbocharged 170-horsepower four-cylinder engine is standard and averages around 27 MPG.

Chevy brought the Trailblazer back after a decade-long hiatus. The new Trailblazer has 25.3 cubic feet of room behind the back seat and is powered by its standard 137-horsepower, 1.2L engine that averages an impressive 29 MPG.

Family-Friendly

These Chevy SUVs are great for active families. They offer plenty of cargo room, plus the wide doors and roomy cabins make it easy to access child safety seats.

The Blazer is another model making a strong comeback with a standard 193-horsepower 2.5L four-cylinder engine plus an optional 308-hp 3.6L V6 that can pull 4,500 pounds. But with 30.5 cubic feet behind the back seat, you may not need a trailer. The Blazer seats five without anyone feeling too cramped.

The Chevrolet Traverse is a stalwart among three-row SUVs. The large cargo hold easily fits a dog crate, so even your four-legged family members can join the fun. The standard V6 310-horsepower engine provides plenty of oomph and gets up to 21 MPG.

Team Players

Whether you’re in charge of the team carpool or your family outings include cousins and grandparents, these super-sized SUVs are perfect for big groups.

The Chevy Tahoe is ideal if you’ve got a family with a lot of stuff to haul around or you want a comfortable SUV for touring with your band. Folding the third row gives you 51.7 cubic feet of cargo area, and the 355-horsepower V8 gets 18 miles out of a gallon of gas.

The Granddaddy of large SUVs, the Chevrolet Suburban seats up to nine passengers with nearly 40 cubic feet of space behind the third row. That’s enough room for most of the soccer team AND their equipment. The available 420-horsepower V8 gets 17 MPG and is beefy enough that you won’t white-knuckle freeway traffic.

Choose Your Next Chevy

Every Chevrolet SUV is loaded with features, including multiple USB ports and smartphone integration. You also get an impressive suite of safety technology that includes Teen Driver and Rear Seat Reminder. Whichever Chevy you choose, you’ll have an SUV that’s versatile enough to fit your current lifestyle and grow with you.
