For the past ten years we’ve admired and enjoyedthe F performance names offered byLexus and the brand is ready to celebrate ten years of excellence and performance by offering a pair of special models. The 2018 Chicago Auto Show will give us a look at both the new GS F and RC F 10thAnniversary Special Edition models that will arrive in dealerships later this summer with unique features that make them impressive and interesting for the drive you want to have out on the road. These two models will be extremely limited in their offering during this celebration.The RC F 10thAnniversarySpecial Edition will be limited to 240 units which correspond to the number of Lexus dealers in the US while the GS F will be built in only 100 units. Both models will wear Nebula Gray paint on the exterior, which will mark the first time this matte paint has been used on a Lexus production car since the LFA supercar was created. The outside will be finished off with polished black multi-spoke wheels that wear Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and a set of blue brake calipers.

Continued Use of Blue

The blue theme offered for the brakes makes its way to the inside as well with blue carbon fiber trim on the window switch panel and dashboard. You’ll also see blue leather accents around the cabin which gives these two cars a more exotic look to them. There is blue leather for the seats with white accents and a blue accented shift knob, steering wheel, and instrument panel to offer the finishing touches of blue. In the GS F, the rear seats have a lighter look with a splash of blue leather on the side bolsters to give the desired look.

Each of the models you see as one of these special edition cars will have an engraved plaque that certifies the limited edition status. Both models will be powered by the 5.0-liter V8 engine that pumps out 467 horsepower while being attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is the same powertrain we find in the standard forms of the RC F and GS F. The final pricing for these two special edition models hasn’t been determined yet but optional packages will be offered on both of these models to give owners the full package of features and qualities desired.
