The Chevrolet brand has a long history and has had some unique model names over the years. Get ready for another one.
They have not only brought us some of the most creative names and vehicles on the market, but they have also offered us some names that have made a return to the market to give us more of what we want to drive. With the new Chevrolet Blazer on the horizon, it seems fitting that we see another classic name on its way back to the market to be part of the models that will be seen on the roads.

You Won’t See These Names on the Road

Even though Chevrolet is bringing back a couple more names, these nameplates won’t be seen in the North American market. It’s possible we’ll see one of them in the future, but with the recent reduction in sedans that was announced for the entire GM lineup, we might not see the other. These two new models well wear classic names and be offered in the Chinese auto market. The CarryAll will make a return and is a model that looks a lot like a stretched Blazer. The other that will make its way to the Chinese market is the Chevrolet Monza, which has been gone for a while.

Detailing the CarryAll from Chevrolet

We might see the CarryAll make its way to our shores and it could be marketed as a Blazer XL when it arrives. The details we have for this SUV tell us that it will be 196 inches long with a 113-inch wheelbase for the drive. There should be three rows of seats, but these might be broken up into three pairs rather than offering seven or eight seats for the drive. This size is perfect for this seating setup and it could be offered in the US and become a popular choice.

The Monza on the Other Hand

The new Chevrolet Monza that will appear in the Chinese market is a small sedan that could appeal mostly to younger buyers with an exuberance and energy that makes it fun to drive. This car probably won’t make a move toward the North American market because of the reduction in sedans for Chevrolet and a dwindling interest in sedans in the market. This model will likely remain in China where many shoppers are still clamoring for the sedans they want to drive.

A Strong Presence in China

It’s important for GM to capture the sales and market offered in China as soon as possible. This is the largest market in the world and with the reduction in domestic products in the US, we see that both Ford and GM have reduced their lineups to rid the market of some of the sedans that we no longer look for when we want to drive. It’s possible we will see the CarryAll in the future, to give us another Chevrolet SUV that can offer the size and seating we want, without the larger size of the Chevy Tahoe and Traverse. Unfortunately, if you want to see or drive one of these two new Chevy models, you’ll have to travel to China.
