Are you looking for the right truck that can get you through the work week but then handle all kinds of fun on the weekend?

But what about all the fun you can have with a pickup truck? Midsize trucks are often known for how much work they can do, how they get you from point A to point B on the job, or what they can haul when you need to pull heavy (or light) loads.  Your work truck doesn’t have to be separate from your weekend warrior with trucks such as the Ford Ranger for weekend warriors.

The Ford Ranger

The Ford Ranger is tough, innovative, and adventurous. It comes in three well-equipped models and gets power from Ford’s EcoBoost engine. The 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque allow it to tow up to 7,500 pounds, so you can haul your weekend toys with you no matter where you head. The Ford Ranger will keep you connected even on those backwoods trails with the voice-activated Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Make sure to add the Tremor Off-Road Package to get the off-road Fox shocks, 32-inch all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and an upgraded suspension with extra ground clearance.

The Nissan Frontier

The Nissan Frontier is not only tough and durable, it’s competent whether it’s tackling the highway or a dirt road. You don’t have to worry about getting the job done in this truck, but when the work weekends, it’s ready to go on any adventure. Power comes from a V-6 with 310 horsepower, and if you have the Pro-X or Pro-4X, you’ll get all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, Bilstein shocks, and four-wheel drive.

Toyota Tacoma

The Toyota Tacoma continues to live up to its legacy of being one of the most rugged and reliable trucks you can get. It’s a durable dirt bike hauler, off-road adventurer, and a daily driver all in one. With a trim lineup that ranges from just the basics to fully equipped to tackle any terrain, there is a Tacoma for everyone.

GMC Canyon

If you like a little luxury with your weekend adventure, the GMC Canyon is the midsize truck for you. This truck is easy to drive, and it has a new AT4X model that can tackle almost anything. It has a suspension with a 1-inch lift to get you over rough terrain, locking front and rear differentials, and mud-terrain tires. All this is in addition to the leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and all the safety systems.

Chevrolet Colorado

When your weekend adventures are not for the faint of heart, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison will make it look easy. But this midsize pickup truck is not only capable of tackling rough terrain, it can tow up to 7,700 pounds, which is plenty whether you have a camper, boats, snowmobiles, or any other gear or equipment for your weekend fun. The Bison is a more intensive version of the ZR2 with 35-inch mud-terrain tires, four-wheel drive, and all kinds of underbody protection.
