The creation of the partnership with the Star Wars movie franchise was one of the smartest things to happen for Nissan in many years. No long ago, the Rogue One movie was offered to us and with a vehicle that features the same name in the lineup, Nissan was off and running with a variety of ads and features that showcased the newest of the small SUVs to come down the line from this brand. With the date that has recently passed, Nissan has unleashed some new advertising in preparation for the next Star Wars movie.

May the Fourth has become known as Star Wars day ever since someone figured out the date itself sounds much like the famous line from one of the Star Wars movies “may the force be with you”. Now, it had become a national phenomenon every year for there to be a variety of showings of past Star Wars movies and in some cases several showings at once to give a complete story to the audience. This date has also become one that allows us to look forward to trailers and new looks at whatever the upcoming Star Wars movie might be.

The New Star Wars Movie and the Upgraded Nissan Rogue

The next Star Wars movie to show up will arrive in theaters on May 25 and its called Solo: AStar Wars Story. To go along with this new movie and keep with the theme of the iconic relationship that Han Solo has with his ship, the Millennium Falcon, a new trailer has been offered and a new Nissan Rogue SUV is what you might want to drive to the theater. The new ad shows the trailer of the famous ship before switching to a couple driving down the road with their dog in tow.

There’s also a “Best in the Galaxy” sweepstakes which can offer design elements from the upcoming movie that fans can enjoy by using some virtual reality technology. Fans can submit their designs for a chance to with some prizes, one of which is a custom Star Wars inspired Nissan Rogue, Titan, or Altima. There’s also a collectible replica Range Trooper helmet offered as a prize along with other items. This sweepstakes is active now and continues until June 3 to give you plenty of time to submit an entry.

This partnership has been excellent for Nissan and certainly allows the Nissan Rogue to be a mainstay and a feature of the ads for the Star Wars movies. There’s going to be a Millennium Falcon-themed Nissan Rogue that will make its debut closer to the movie release.
