The Hyundai “N” badged vehicles are becoming more popular and filling out the lineup nicely. We will see seven Hyundai N models going forward.

This means we will see three that are pure performance models that will be called N while four will offer sporty appearance packages and suspension upgrades and wear the N Line name, giving us a total of seven Hyundai models made for fun and active driving.

The Next Hyundai N is the Elantra

We’ve already been blessed with the Hyundai Elantra N Line, but the next model to be added to this compact car will be the N version. This little car looks like a hot sedan which means it’s practical and sporty at the same time, giving you a car that can compete with other hot sedans. The new Hyundai Elantra N has been teased in camouflage form and it looks great.

This new version of the Elantra shows off with larger front air intakes which hint at a car that needs to feed more air to the engine that will likely be one of the high-performance small turbocharged models that we love from Hyundai. The front of this version has a chiseled look and it offers a raised rear area with an attractive rear spoiler to give the car the sporty appearance we want to enjoy.

Could We See the Veloster Power in the Elantra?

The Hyundai Veloster N can be had with a powertrain that reaches 275 horsepower, which is an almost dangerous number for a small car that’s light and powerful. The new Elantra N could make use of this same powertrain and give you a lot of fun. Imagine driving a compact sedan that has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine tuned up to this level and an excellent six-speed manual transmission.

Of course, if you don’t want the manual, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission will be offered as well. If Hyundai offers the Elantra N with this powertrain, it will have a better power to weight ratio than most of the other models in the class. This means you could have an amazing drive in a car that has the performance desired that can be quicker than some even if the power number isn’t as high as others.

More Hyundai N Models On the Way

The excitement might be around the future Elantra N right now, but the Tucson N Line will arrive in North America soon, we will already enjoy the Sonata N Line, the Elantra N Line, and the Veloster N. Add the Elantra N to the mix and we still have room for one more N Line and one more Hyundai N model to give us the total of seven that we’re looking for.

Which Hyundai will be next to receive these treatments? Will we have a Santa Fe N Line or possibly a Venue N? While we look for the answers to arrive, we can continue to enjoy what the new Elantra N will be and how it can change the pleasure of driving for you at your local Hyundai dealer.
