What does the new Dodge Charger offer? We knew the Hellcat versions were gone after 2023, but a new 2025 model is coming.

The new Charger has nothing in common with the old model except the name. It will still be a four-door sedan, but also offered as a two-door fastback coupe. We already know we won’t see any V8 engines because Stellantis has deleted all of the Hemi V8 engines from much of its passenger vehicles. The loss of the V8 engines shouldn’t be too much trouble for most drivers, Stellantis developed a new engine to provide ample power.

Ok, some similarities exist

The new Dodge car brings styling that reminds us of the Charger from the 1960s and 70s, which means this is another retro car that has much of its original style. The dashboard looks like it came from the 1968 Charger with an old-school pistol-grip shifter that sticks out of the center console.

The styling might be similar to the deleted Charger, and it might have an impressive retro vibe, but the tech inside the cabin is advanced and modern. This means it has everything you want in a modern car that you wouldn’t have ever thought of when the 1960s versions arrived.

It’s a modern muscle car

The Dodge Charger is one of the few muscle car names left in the market. Everything about this car is new, with impressive vintage appearance qualities and modern features that make it a great car to drive and enjoy. The Charger is modern enough that it’s being offered in an electric variant called the Charger Daytona. This model brings a new EV platform and powertrain to be one of the first all-electric cars from Stellantis. This new Dodge should go into production in the early part of 2025 and hit showrooms soon after.

What powers this new Charger?

The new version of this muscle car comes with the Hurricane engine. This engine is receiving notoriety for its impressive power and performance. The build is a twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, and we’ve seen it show off in the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. In its standard output form, this impressive engine delivers 420 horsepower to the wheels. For those drivers who are going after more power, the high output version should achieve up to 550 horsepower for the drive.

For those drivers waiting for the electric version, the Charger Daytona should send up to 670 horsepower to the wheels, giving this amazing electric car plenty of power for performance and driving fun.

Check out the cabin

When you step inside this new Dodge, you’ll find a mixture of old and new elements for your time behind the wheel. We covered some of the vintage features that are mixed with digital displays and adjustable lighting in other areas of the car. You’ll find a set of bucket seats in the front to give this car a comfortable and impressive place to enjoy a great ride. The four-door version could still be a good choice for families, but if you want a sportier look to your Dodge Charger, the two-door coupe is the car for you.

As before, this impressive car should offer ample cargo room to make it easy for you to take everything you want with you on the road. Both versions have a liftback design instead of a standard trunk which makes it easy to carry even more stuff during your time on the road.

How big are the screens

Every version of this Dodge car has a 12.3-inch infotainment display running the Uconnect infotainment software the has been one of the best systems in the market. Next to that is a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster which is the standard size. Upgraded versions of this car have a larger 16.0-inch unit showing the various gauges and readings you need to see.

As expected, various tech items are included in the car’s systems. Some of these include SiriusXM satellite radio, an in-dash navigation system, Amazon Alexa voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. There are two different Alpine stereo systems to give you 18 speakers for your enjoyment in the cabin.

You can stay safe in the Charger

Modern cars come with modern safety features. The new Dodge Charger has a long list of excellent features, including:

  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Lane-departure warning
  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Lane centering
