It’s been a long time since Toyota redesigned the Tacoma, since 2016, to be exact. But the next generation is here, and it is better than anyone imagined.
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is all new inside and out and under the hood. This small truck is still a legend, but it’s now a modern legend. Take a look at what you can get when you find the new Tacoma at a Toyota dealership.
New, More Powerful Power, and a Hybrid, too
Every 2024 Tacoma uses a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, but it comes in a variety of forms to get you more power if you want it. The entry-level version for the SR generates 228 horsepower, and you can get this with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The rest of the lineup gets the mighty iForce turbo four-cylinder with up to 278 horsepower. But it doesn’t stop there. Toyota’s iForce Max is the king of the engine lineup, with 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This is the hybrid setup we’ve seen in some other new Toyota models, and it has both gas and electric power.
More Off-Road Options
Not every truck is a work truck, and Toyota proves this with the Tacoma TRD Off-Road. It starts with 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. But this version of the Taco also has Bilstein remote-reservoir suspension dampers and comes with skid plates for the transfer case, engine, and the fuel tank.
One of the best things about this new Tacoma is the range of options and extras you can get. There are over 100 different off-road accessories you can get. The ultimate comfort feature comes in the TRD Pro. It has newly designed seats for the driver and their front passenger that have shock absorbers right in them. The isoDynamic Performance Seats will keep your head and eyes steady, even when driving over the roughest terrain.
New Technology for a New Tacoma
No matter what trim you get, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma has new tech features. The base models have a 7-inch touchscreen, but if you move up to a higher trim, you can get a massive 14-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. This is a lot of screen space for a small truck. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, making it easy to make your phone screen come to life right in the truck. Head to a Toyota dealership soon and check out the new tech. It’s worth a look.
More Comfortable Than Ever
The Tacoma redesign made driving and riding in this truck more comfortable. All trims have some extra headroom that wasn’t there before, and every trim has a newly raised seating position. Even the steering column is more adjustable to help you find a more comfortable driving position.
When you go to your Toyota dealership for the 2024 Tacoma, you can choose from the XtraCab or the Double Cab, depending on what type of seating you want in the cabin.
