The future of Chevrolet vehicles is promising to say the least. This powerhouse auto manufacturer is raising the bar on what is possible with an electric vehicle (EV). As electric technology improves and public charging stations become more commonplace, we’ll see more EV versions of common models and stand-alone EVs that will blow your mind.

In fact, the EVs that are out right now might seem completely obsolete when compared to what Chevrolet has in the pipeline for the next decade. Here are just some of the EVs Chevrolet has planned for the next five years.

Keep in mind that details are sparse when it comes to exactly how these future EVs will operate. Chevrolet has announced production years, which doesn’t necessarily reveal the exact model year or when these vehicles will actually be available. It’s also hard to predict the exact price of these advanced vehicles or what kinds of federal/state tax credits may be available.

Even without all of the information, it’s a good time to sit back and get excited for what Chevrolet is bringing to the table.

Chevrolet Silverado EV Pickup Truck

Expected 2023

The Silverado has been the leading truck in the Chevrolet lineup for years. Since rival manufactures are launching electric pickups, it’s only logical that Chevy would do the same. Whether the new Silverado EV overshadows the upcoming Ford Lightning is yet to be seen.

We do expect similar options on the Silverado that come with the upcoming GMC Hummer EV. Expect a range of 400 miles and plenty of horsepower with this highly-anticipated truck.

Chevrolet Bolt EV

Available Now

While the Bolt EV has already been in production for some time, it’s getting an impressive makeover. This hatchback offers a budget-friendly option for drivers looking to enter the EV world. More importantly, its low price doesn’t result in any sacrifices.

The newest version of the Bolt EV can travel 259 miles on a full charge. One of the more exciting elements of the Bolt EV is that it now comes with a dual-level charging cord that can handle both 120v and 240v outlets. This eliminates the need to buy a second charger.

Chevrolet Bolt EUV

Available Now

The Bolt EUV is such a unique vehicle that it invented a new classification of vehicles. Sure, it offers all of the benefits of an SUV but is better described as an Electric Utility Vehicle (EUV). You’ll enjoy more interior space than the Bolt hatchback, along with some extra perks.

The 200-hp electric motor provides up to 250 miles on a full charge. It’s also worth noting the innovative regenerative braking abilities. With this system online, you can drive with a single pedal. Instead of hitting the brake to slow down, you can merely let off of the accelerator. You’ll have all of this EUV’s power available on-demand, which is how you can jump from zero to 60 mph in just seven seconds.

So Much More Is Coming

General Motors, which is the parent company of Chevrolet, is releasing a ton of new EVS over the next few years. That means we can expect new Chevy adaptations or completely new vehicles altogether that match and mirror EVs offered by other GM nameplates.

As for now, drivers who want a hatchback, SUV, or pickup truck will soon have the answer to their electric prayers. This is just the beginning of where Chevrolet is going to take us.
