When we see the 2021 models of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe arrive on the market, there will be several changes for us to admire. The current versions of these two full-size SUVs only offer us three trims and a number of packages to enjoy. Starting in 2021, we will have six trims offered to give us more choices for the drive. The powertrains are also changing to make sure we can have more options when we want to take a drive and enjoy what the full-size SUV lineup offers for the drive we desire.

The Trim Changes from Chevy

If you’re looking forward and want to enjoy a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe model to be the big and bold SUV that you love to drive, you’ll be ready to take a ride. The trims will change from LS, LT, and Premier with the Z71 and RST packages which are offered now to LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country in the future. This means the Z71 and RST models will be stand-alone trims to make sure you can have these models packaged the way you want. The addition of the High Country trim gives a more luxurious feeling for the Suburban and Tahoe.

Power Offerings Upgraded on these SUVs

Right now, we see the 5.3-liter V8 engine as the standard model that you can enjoy when you want to take a drive in either the Suburban or Chevrolet Tahoe. When you look to upgrade the power of either SUV, you’ll find a 6.2-liter V8 engine that makes more power and gives you the strength you’re looking for. Starting in 2021, there will be a 3.0-liter Duramax diesel six-cylinder engine offered as well, giving you the added benefits of a diesel powertrain. This engine is offered for every model except the Z71 because the front fascia interferes with the intercooler and plumbing of the diesel engine.

Upgrades for the Z71 Package

While the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe won’t be offered with the diesel engine in Z71 garb for 20201, this model will give drivers a lot to love. When you want an SUV that you know can handle the off-road fun, the Z71 package gives you Rancho shocks, skid plates, a stronger transfer case, fog lights, standard 18-inch wheels, a high-capacity air cleaner for the engine, and Front and Rear Park Assist. The new Z71 will change to a set of 20-inch wheels for you to have more of what you want for your drive.

The Right SUV for You from Chevrolet

Looking at the upgraded and improved versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, you’re going to have a lot more to choose from when you take a drive and enjoy this SUV starting in the 2021 model year. With new trims, several power offerings, and the features that make sense for you, these two full-size SUVs can be great for you to have the experience you’re looking for when you head out on the roads and trails in your area.
