Your local Ford dealer may not have been the first dealership to offer electric vehicles, but it offers some of the most versatile options on the market.
There are even plans to offer even more EVs in the future. The good news is that we don’t have to wait for some date in the distance date to enjoy an innovative Ford EV today.
Here are some exciting things you can find at your favorite Ford dealer:
The Ford EV Lineup
Mustang Mach-E
While the Mach-E embodies the Mustang spirit, it isn’t the sports car that is typically associated with this nameplate. The Mach-E is an advanced electric SUV that uses two electric motors to create 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque. When you press the pedal, you can jump from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Drivers can enjoy between 211 and 305 miles of driving range on a single charge.
Ford F-150 Lightning
Ford has come up with the first fully-functional and fully electric pickup truck on the market. The new F-150 Lightning offers all of the capability and power of a gas-powered F-150 but adds some pizzazz, like a solid 426 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, this truck can tow up to 10,000 pounds. You’ll also enjoy between 230 and 300 miles of driving range with a full battery.
Ford E-Transit
While owning a cargo van may not be for everyone, those who have a lot of goods or equipment to move will enjoy cutting down on fuel costs. You get all of the passenger and cargo space you love from previous Transit models but get the enjoyment of driving a completely electric vehicle. The E-Transit produces 266 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque with a range of 126 miles per charge.
Ford Explorer (Coming in 2023)
Every Ford dealer’s most popular SUV is going to come as an EV in 2023. There aren’t a lot of details about this three-row family ride, but it’s expected to make quite the splash. Keep an eye out at your local Ford dealer to learn more
Keeping You Fully Charged
One of the most anticipated benefits of owning a Ford EV is its ability to keep you charged. We’re used to the idea of plugging in an EV at home to keep it running, but the new lineup of Ford EVs can actually return the favor.
The power available on your Ford EV is able to deliver more than just an awesome day on the road. It can also be funneled back into your house or other electric vehicles. Thanks to Ford’s Pro Power Onboard Generator, you can put your battery to work for you.
Ford’s Intelligent Backup Power system integrates with your home to provide power if something happens to the grid. With the extended battery pack, you could provide power to your home for an average of three days.
Some people plan to use this capability to lower their energy bills. The Ford EV will charge at night when rates are low, and then the vehicle will power the home when utility rates are high. The possibilities are practically endless.
