Even before we see the regular model of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson N, we’ve had a look at the sportiest version of this SUV.
This new version will be the Tucson N Line and it’s already made its debut at testing sites in Europe. When you see it, you’ll notice it has a shorter wheelbase and more angles to offer the right build for an exciting drive.
Slow Your Roll; Only a Little
The distinction you need to understand about the N Line versions of the Hyundai vehicles is the fact that more power isn’t part of the equation. Even so, with an N Line being offered for 2022, a hardcore N model might not be too far behind. What you do find when you’re driving an N Line model is a package of sportier features that increase the driving dynamics while using the same power as the top trim from each model.
In this case, the Hyundai Tucson N Line is expected to use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine when it arrives in the US, but it can be had with any of the engines across the lineup. The only difference between what we will have and what’s offered in Europe is the diesel engine that can be part of a European model and not one in the States.
What Makes the Hyundai Tucson N Line a Special Vehicle?
If there isn’t more power, why do you want to drive the N Line version of the Tucson? This model brings you a more aggressive front bumper, larger side intakes, N Line badges, more edges to the grille, and a more aggressive style. You’ll see body-color lower cladding, an available contrasting black roof, and an impressive set of 19-inch wheels to offer a great drive. Looking to the rear, you’ll see a finned rear spoiler, a diffuser-style rear bumper, and a pair of exhaust ports coming out from the right side of the vehicle.

When you open the doors, the first thing you’ll notice in the Hyundai Tucson N Line is the red contrast stitching found on the seats. These seats are covered in suede, you’ll find an N-branded shifter, and a pair of metal pedals to give you a complete sporty look. Underneath the N Line Tucson, you’ll find a unique suspension that makes it easier for you to have a sportier and more aggressive drive when you’re behind the wheel.
The Tucson N Line is Coming; Are You Ready?
Over the next few months, we’re going to discuss the new 2022 Hyundai Tucson N Line several times. Is this the compact SUV that you want to drive and enjoy on the road? If so, you’ll be pleased to see what this vehicle brings to the market. This new version of the Tucson also opens the door to the idea of a hardcore N model that could use the same powertrain as the Veloster N, but that’s a topic for another time.
