A Pair of Snow Bunnies

A Pair of Snow Bunnies

Nissan has created a pair of vehicles that are perfectly built for the snow and can easily offer the fun and active ride out on the slopes and areas that can be covered in the white powder that is often difficult to drive on. These two models will make their debut at the Chicago Auto Show later this month to give us a look at what they have to offer us for the drive. There’s no word yet as to whether or not either one will become a production model, but it sure is fun to imagine what it would be like to drive one of them.

The Nissan 370Zki

What do you get when you cross a Nissan 370Z with a snowmobile? The result is a car that can handle the fun on the slopes that rides on skis that are made for the snow. The Nissan team partnered with American Track Truck, Inc. to create the right lift kit and fit snow track carving skis to the bottom of the vehicle to make it one that can offer the fun desired out in the winter wonderland to have a lot of fun.

The car had to remove the entire drivetrain to make room for the rear DOMINATOR Tracks and the suspension had to be lifted. The brakes remain the ones that came from the factory, but the brake lines had to be rerouted and the exhaust had to be modified to fit under the vehicle. There is a custom body wrap that was created by Icon Image Graphics with yellow tinted headlights to make the headlights look like ski goggles. This is an interesting vehicle that appears to be capable of the fun you’ll want to have out on the snowy slopes you love to enjoy.

The Nissan Armada Snow Patrol

Probably the more useful of the two Nissan models is the Snow Patrol which has also been altered to give us more of what we would want out on the snow. This big SUV sports a three-inch suspension lift, extreme off-road tires, a massive front bumper, light bar, and roof rack. This powerful machine is made in such a way that it can tow around the 370ki while the smaller vehicle is up on a trailer, which shows off the capability of the new Snow Patrol that could be an amazing vehicle on the white powder.

The added qualities continue as you take a longer look at this new model with its Smittybilt off-road bumper with a grill protector bar and a front mounted 12,000-pound winch. The roof offers a DR36 double-row LED light bar with flood and spot capabilities, with additional lighting coming from a pair of grill mounted five-inch LED round motorsports lights. There is a set of M-1A running boards/rock sliders that help to prevent damage from road and trail debris that you might find as you drive this incredible beast out in the snow on the trails that you find.

Both of these models will be on display in Chicago later this month and Nissan has said it plans to find a way to make it snow inside the event space where the show will take place. We’ll see if they find a way to make that happen when the time comes for the show.
